Assistant Team Leader
WORKSHIFT: VARIOUS
LOCATION: Rantoul, Illinois
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is announced
statewide for those persons holding or eligible to acquire membership
in any National Guard/Reserve Component, or Retired U.S. Armed Forces
(20 years) in an Officer/Enlisted grade which is compatible with
this position. actos and visa EXAMPLE OF WORK: Under the immediate supervision
of the Team Leader, performs routine custodial and developmental
functions at the LCA; maintains order and safety of assigned cadets;
obtains specialized experience in the development and skills training
of cadets; assists Team Leader in care and training of cadets. Acts
as Team Leader in absence of assigned Team Leader. Supervises the
daily activities of cadets including eating, recreational, instructional
and work activities; discusses behavior problems with Team Leader;
implements minor disciplinary measures as required. Assists in teaching
cadets the use of tools and working techniques for work projects;
promotes cooperation and team work during instructional work and
recreational activities. Advises assigned cadets; evaluates cadets
progress and prepares simple reports; prepares daily attendance
records. Receives training in the application of principles and
practices of guiding and training cadets; obtains experience in
meeting the problems of cadets. Maintains general night safety and
control of cadets; makes fire safety checks. Performs other duties
as required or assigned reasonably within the scope of the duties
enumerated above.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires knowledge, skill, and
mental development equivalent to the completion of High School.
This is a military exempt position. Requires three years progressive
military experience. Requires active membership in any National
Guard or Reserve Component, or retired (20 years) US Armed Forces.
Requires attainment of military rank of E-4 to O-3. (Warrant Officer
Ranks included) Requires knowledge of military structure and procedures.
Requires ability to pass, at any given time, the Army Physical Fitness
Test. Requires the ability to manage a team and maintain a military
atmosphere conducive to development of cadets. Requires the ability
to establish patterns of communication with cadets. Requires ability
to analyze and evaluate the progress and development of assigned
cadets and present verbal and written reports. Requires the ability
to use and teach the usage of simple household or hand tools. Requires
wear of the military uniform. May require successful completion
of the Rehabilitation Training and Instructor Course (RTIC) at Ft.
Leonard Wood, Missouri. Requires a valid Illinois CDL driver's license
and insurance. Requires a valid CPR certification from the American
Red Cross.

EMPLOYMENT STIPULATIONS: This is an announcement
for a Personal Services Contract for the Lincoln's Challenge Academy.
At this time, this contract does not provide for medical, dental
