Lincoln's Challenge Academy offers you the
chance of a lifetime. If you are ready to change your future
and ready to make important decisions about your life, then Lincoln's
Challenge Academy can help you do just that.
If you don't know much about LCA, you may want
to check
out the program or take
a tour of a day in the life of a cadet.
The following correct and complete documentation
is required in each registration packet in order to issue acceptance
to the program (click on the title to view and print):
- Application

which includes the following:
--Parental Understanding and Release of Liability, and Consent
for Medical Care (notarized)
--Parental / Guardianship Verification (notarized)
--Cadet Understanding and Release of Liability, and Consent for
Drug Test (notarized)
--Consent to Release of Information
--Consent to Donate Blood
--DCFS / Probation Form - includes alternative placement plan
for DCFS and/or includes probation order, court papers from probation
officer
--Student Information Request Form
- Copy of State Identification
- Race
and Nationality Form [LCA_race_nationality.pdf; 12k]
- Self
Identification of Handicap [LCA_handicap.pdf; 15k]
Submit these documents to Lincoln's Challenge
Academy in Rantoul (the address is located on the application).
Call your nearest Regional
Coordinator with questions.
Parents/Guardians: To read more
about the medical guidelines for the program, please view
a letter
from our medical director [LCA_medical_letter; 40k].
Those meeting the requirements will be sent
a letter notifying them that their application has been received,
giving them information concerning times and dates for Registration
and Orientation. All applicants must complete registration and orientation
prior to acceptance. Applicants must also pass a physical exam and
drug screening test during the early weeks of the program.
Applicants will be notified of acceptance by
mail or at the time of registration. Selection for seats is competitive
and all applicants are encouraged to submit an application and attend
registration as soon as possible. Therefore, the sooner the applicant
gets the required documentation completed and attends registration,
the better their chances are for becoming a Lincoln's ChalleNGe
Cadet.

scholarship application
Upon successful completion of the program,
cadets may qualify for an ICCB
scholarship to a community college limited to $1,000 per
cadet per semester. In order to apply for and receive the ICCB
scholarship, the cadet must submit the attached application with
ALL blanks filled in to the Lincoln's ChalleNGe office by
the specified due date.

mentor application
You'll want to make sure you've read the basic
requirements for a Lincoln's Challenge Academy mentor before
you download our application.
1. Download

2. Carefully read and complete application
(includes three personal reference sheets).
3. Submit your application to the nearest Regional
Coordinator for review.
Once the application and three personal reference
sheets are received and the Regional Coordinator in your area completes
the initial screening, a formal interview will be set, a background
check will be initiated and training will be completed. Once you
complete and pass all areas of this process, you will become a Lincoln's
Challenge Mentor.
